Wow. This was such a great evening. I was working solidly on so many various and wonderful boots and had so many conversations. I definitely got into a better headspace with this and really actually got some time being a good service sub. I don't always have a sexy or flirty time when bootblacking, but tonight was a lot of sexually charged interactions.
Perhaps one of my favourite was having my tip given to me by the guy, sliding the note down the back of my waistband.
I also ran a mini teaching session, giving a two people a lesson on how to do a basic clean and shine.
There was one down note. While heading back from the venue, I realized my belt pouch, in which I keep my tips, was gone. I don't know if the belt loop broke, or it got left behind in packing up. It's preferable to think that than the third option that someone took it.
But the community around me did something incredible. Once word got around what had happened, donations started coming through my paypal and i very quickly had been gifted the lost tips.
